The California missions are beloved historical sites, but they tell a far more interesting and important story than one might imagine—one that is linked to global history, geopolitics, and to the founding of the country.

Pearl Chase’s strength of personality, maturity, intelligence, and leadership qualities formed the bedrock that enabled her to look outwards and achieve so much in her lifetime.

Concierto Íntimo
An evening of Greek music and dance in the historic Covarrubias Adobe

Join us for an intimate concert in our Spanish era adobe introducing Mana Mou Pono (Mama Mia), a captivating Greek ensemble based in Santa Barbara.
This dynamic group features six talented musicians, including five UCSB music alumnus well versed in music cultures of Greece, and the wider Near East.
Presenting music from Mainland Greece to the Islands, Mana Mou Pono performs on zithers (santouri & kanun), lutes (oud, lauta, baglama, tzoura, nautilauta), clarinet, vocals and percussion. They will also be jointed by captivating guest dancer, Ariel Kasha Celi.
Seats are very limited and include wine and a brief pre-show reception.
